Linkfest - Rescue Me

Lego Daily Planet
Hit the link for a gallery of images on details on how this cool Lego creation was made that pits Superman & Young Justice against Brainiac. The creation has lots of cool details like street side kiosks selling comics, labeled sewer covers, street signs, and whole lot more. (via ComicAlliance)

RIP GamePro
GamePro magazine which started in 1988 as the NES age reached its apex, is ending publication with its current issue with the website is being absorbed by the mothership of PC World and likely most of its staff laid off. I remember reading and subscribing to the magazine way back when before time meant I no longer could focus much less play video games with the frequency that made a subscription worthwhile. Shame to see yet another gamer magazine go away.

US Wealth Converted to Land
The image to the left is how the US would be divided if done to the same ratio as how wealth currently is divided. Make no mistake, we are in a class war and have been in one for decades thanks to the Republican Party. The divide between the rich and everyone is greater than any time in history and is only getting worse. It doesn't help when people eat the false argument from Fox News and company that the best way to fix this divide is to heap even more unearned wealth (via tax cuts and law changes) onto that top 1%. That has never worked in the history of mankind. Greed knows no bounds or limits. Assuming that if you feed the beast will lead to the beast feeding you is a BS argument that only fools believe.

Preview of Raiding the Lost Ark Filmumentary
Below is a pretty sweet 17 minute snippet that is a masters' class in editing creating an entertaining documentary about the Indiana Jones series. The filmumentary is created from DVD commentary, promotional footage, interviews and more but using editing ninjutsu to create something new and very interesting for any Indiana fan. If you like the below, then make sure to check out this same style used for the 2 hour 15 minute long Star Wars Begins - The Complete Documentary.

The Hunger Games Teaser Trailer
Below is the first full trailer for The Hunger Games. The rather depressing novel pits children against children in a death match where only one is supposed to survive so that their district can get the needed food and supplies. The "game" is also a tale of the have vs the have nots and how they use entertainment and propaganda to make the people believe they deserve the hard lives they live while the powerful (and wealthy) enjoy the fruits of others labor.
