D&D Co-Creator Dave Arneson Died - Sadly the other creator of Dungeons and Dragons joins his co-conspirator Gary Gygax in the great beyond. The game is pretty much the origin source of the video game industry with online gaming, role-playing, and other off shoots. At the link above is a fond remembrance of the man. Wolverine Leak Creates Blockbuster? - Fox is pretending to nash its teeth over the early release of a work print of Wolverine to bit torrent that lacks about 20 minutes of footage and finished effects. In reality the release created millions of dollars in free advertising as snippets of their trailers were shown on the news nationwide as the leak was discussed. Advertising and word of mouth that can only lead to more ticket sales. Even better the leak creates a built in excuse for failure. If the movie bombs, it isn't because of bad execution it will because bit torrent doomed it. In reality though, crap doesn't sell even when it’s free. Wolverine will have to be good or it will fail in the crowded summer market.
White House Email Oopsie - In a slight peaking behind the curtains, the White House Press Office accidently sent out an early draft of his Thursday schedule. As a sample shows, it turns out putting together something as simple as that is a carefully worded and planned affair.
