Senator John Edwards finally endorsed Barack Obama for president. Why the long wait is nnever explained. At this point I don't even know why it matters. What power he had in delegate and super delegate votes has long since gone. Why he may have a loyal support base, that base was enough to keep him a contender for President (again) so find it hard to believe that means anything either.The only reason I can think of for this move is Edwards is reminding Obama that he wouldn't mind being the Vice President on the ticket. Considering Edwards' weak campaign, it's a tough call. Clinton can bring in the votes but will also cost a lot of votes. Edwards is a safe choice though and not especially disliked by anyone. Regardless of the ticket, anything is better then McBush.
